Please join us on Tuesday, March 13, 2018, at 7:00 PM for the Franciscan Vision Series Lecture, “Franciscan Virtues for Today’s Families” with Dr. Maureen Day!

In this talk, Dr. Maureen Day will bring a Franciscan lens to the virtues as well as Pope Francis ‘The Joy of Love. In integrating these with contemporary research on families, listeners will gain a greater understanding and appreciation of families as “domestic church,” that is, as sources of joy, love and hope in today’s world.

Dr. Maureen Day is the Assistant Professor of Pastoral Theology at the Franciscan School of Theology in Oceanside, California. She has taught a variety of courses on marriage and family life and has published articles and chapters on American Catholic life in Paulist Press and America magazine. She has provided her expertise on families and young adults to the Church at both the diocesan and national level, recently assisting with the San Diego Synod as well as with the data analysis of the 2017 National Study of Catholic Campus Ministry in collaboration with the USCCB’s Secretariat on Catholic Education. Maureen, her husband, Joseph, and their two children, Veronica and David, joyfully attend St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Oceanside.
